Media regulation is important because it stops organisations/businesses from going to far. such as hacking phones, invading privacy etc. Without media regulation lies can be spread, lives can be ruined and peoples careers can be ended. 2.In the docudrama 'The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jeffries' newspaper regulation was shown as ineffective. This is because of how much information they got and how deep they went into his life. When the lawyers are going around asking people from Christopher's life they all say how kind and thoughtful he is. Whereas the newspapers portrayed him as a peeping tom and a unusual person. 3. In IPSO's editors code of practice clause 1iii it says ' The Press, while free to be partisan they must distinguish clearly between comment, conjecture and fact'.
