One of the factors that will affect the response is your ethnicity. This film is based heavily on racism so if you are black it might affect you personally or make you think it could happen to you. Another factor is your personality. If you like Horror movies then you you might not get scared but you will get a sense of enjoyment from the film. However if you don't like horror films then your response will be negative and you'll get scared. If you see the film at the cinema you'll feel safe as there are more people around you so you have protection whereas if you're home alone watching it you feel vulnerable. If you watch the film with friends then you'll feel safer and be less scared. When you see an advert you will have an active or inactive response.
