Audience responses to media

One of the factors that will affect the response is your ethnicity. This film is based heavily on racism so if you are black it might affect you personally or make you think it could happen to you. Another  factor is your personality. If you like Horror movies then you you might not get scared but you will get a sense of enjoyment from the film. However if you don't like horror films then your response will be negative and you'll get scared. If you see the film at the cinema you'll feel safe as there are more people around you so you have protection whereas if you're home alone watching it you feel vulnerable. If you watch the film with friends then you'll feel safer and be less scared.

When you see an advert you will have an active or inactive response. An active response will be going to the shop and buying the shoes and getting them online. An inactive response will be to ignore the advert and do nothing about it.

Having a dominant response is where you agree with the point and the bias. Having a dominant response to this advert will be agreeing that there will be a heatwave and it will last a month. An oppositional  Response is disagreeing with both the point and the bias. An oppositional response to this would be denying that there is a heatwave and denying that it will last for a month. A negotiated response is agreeing with one but not the other. Agreeing there will be a heatwave but it won't last a month. Or there won't be a heatwave but hot weather will last for a month.
